Pandit Deendayal
Upadhyaya was born on Sept. 12,1916 ,
in a village in Rajasthan. He passed his
Matriculation standing first class, first
in the Ajmer Board Examinations, winning
two gold medals. He again won two gold
medals in Intermediate examination securing
first rank. He did his B.A. in mathematics
in first class.
Panditji joined the RSS in 1937 as
one of the first few Swayamsevaks and
rose to be its Joint Provincial Pracharak.

Shyama Prasad Mookerjee

orator and parliamentarian

BANGALORE, JUNE 20.
The former Chief Justice of the Punjab and
Haryana High Court, Mr. M.Rama Jois, on
Tuesday paid rich tribute to the late Shyama
Prasad Mukherjee, whom he described as a
great patriot, orator and parliamentarian,
who had fought a relentless battle against
the Government's "policy of appeasement"
even at an early stage.
Releasing Vyarthavagadirali Balidana, the
Kannada translation of a Hindi work on Mukherjee
brought out by the BJP's Dr. Shyama Prasad
Mukherjee Birth Centenary Celebration Committee,
Mr. Jois asked people to develop a sense
of patriotism to keep the country united
at all times.
